Cynthia Milani is a corporate anthropologist, with some twenty years experience as an international business consultant and intercultural trainer. She has been involved in branding projects for a wide variety of multinational companies.

Cynthia is president of the INSTITUTE FOR GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT, which provides cross-cultural training for global managers and their families throughout the world. The INSTITUTE FOR GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT has headquarters in the U.S.A., with branch offices in France and Italy.

Cynthia conducts brand exercises and training programs for her multinational clients in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East on a variety of management issues including The Art of Relocation, Cross-Cultural Awareness, Corporate Culture Change, International Negotiations, Presentation Skills, Personal Development, and Effective Global Team Organization.

She delivers these highly customized programs in French, Italian, or English.

Her clients include Aerospatiale, Air Touch/Olivetti, Abbey National Bank, Agip, American School of Milan, AT&T, AXA, Berlitz the BBC, (European) Board of Education, BP/Amoco, CISCO, Credit Suisse, IBM, J.P. Morgan, KPMG, Shell Oil (Moplefan), Saatchi & Saatci, South West Water, Sybase, United Nations, Unilever, Whirlpool, Israeli Foreign Ministry, and UAP/AXA, European Commission in Brussels, to name but a few.

She has also provided training programs for a number of government officials and foreign ambassadors.

Cynthia received her B.A. from Columbia University, has a Master's Degree in Anthropology; did post graduate work in Semiotics at Reid Hall (Columbia University) in Paris.

She received her certification in negotiations and conflict

resolution from Harvard University Law School's Center for Conflict Resolution.

She is a member of S.I.E.T.A.R., the American Anthropological Association, and past President of the World Future Society in Italy. She has served on the governing board of The American School of Paris and Committee of The Institute of Directors, Paris branch.

Cynthia Milani is a public speaker

and the author of numerous articles on living and working abroad, and contributes to a variety of expatriate publications. She is the author of BRAND ITALY: A Guide to the Italians.

Her training materials are used widely throughout companies within Europe and the U.S. She has taught management training courses at International Executive Education Centers in Europe and the U.S. Cynthia is a dual citizen of America and Italy. She lives between Paris, Milan and the French Riviera.
